Winston Chambray

Winston Lee Chambray, Sr., Ponca City resident, passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the Ponca City Medical Center. He was 67 years old.
Winston was born on April 17, 1942 in Chandler, Oklahoma to Jessie C. Chambray and Emma A. Smith Chambray. He grew up in Boley, Oklahoma. He later enlisted in the United States Army on February 20, 1961 and faithfully served for 28 years. Winston was later employed with Conoco for several years.
Winston enjoyed fishing, watching sports and being with his family. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his children, Winston Chambray Jr., Wendell Chambray, Tesafay Chambray and Clint Robinson all of Ponca City, Oklahoma Georgia A. Horton Chambray of Ponca City, Oklahoma brothers, Jessie C. Chambray of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Larry D. Chambray of Ponca City, Oklahoma and Jonnie W. Chambray of Wichita, Kansas sisters, Mayloa Jones and Helen Sterling grandchildren, Winston Chambray III, Trenston Chambray, Brenton Chambray, Airian Chambray, Darian Chambray, Sanaya Rabb, Aneisha Chambray, Aaron Masters and Davonte Chambray greatgrandchildren, Amaria Chambray and Asia Chambray.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Emma Chambray brother, J.P. Chambray sisters, Shirley Logan, Katherine Mathis, Anna Kay Mathis, Beverly Chambray and Emma Jean.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Hartford Avenue Church of Christ with The Rev. Sylvester Alexander officiating. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
