Willis Lockwood passed through the gates of heaven on Sunday, October 14, 2018. He was 64 years old. HE was born on September 6, 1954 in Arkansas City, Kansas to MR Byron Harold Lockwood, Sr. and MRs Gail Evelyn Watson (Lockwood) Kahler. A resident of Ponca City, he enjoyed making guitars, song writing and internet radio tinkering. Willis graduated from high school at New Holland-Middletown, Illinois and soon after joined the Army. He served his country for three years in Cambodia. He married the love of his life, Debra Hicks on June 24, 1989. The happy couple were members of the New Hope Christian Church.
Willis is survived by his wife, Debra Lockwood of the home, Son Jeremy and wife Rhianna Lockwood, son Matthew and wife Allison Lockwood, triplet grandchildren, Harry, Henry, and Maggie Lockwood, his father Byron Harold Lockwood, Sr., two brothers Byron and wife Jorita Lockwood, JR., and Terry and wife Carol Lockwood, five sisters, Gail and husband Edward Anderson, Tammy Nelson and Theresa Horton, Crystal Kahler Carnahan, and Tonda Cloud, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Willis was preceded in death and will be reunited in heaven with his mother, stepfather Gilbert Alan Kahler, and one sister Marie Friesland.
Services will be held 10a.m. on Friday, October 19, 2018 at New Hope Christian Fellowship In Ponca City.
