Vonda Hollingsworth

Vonda M. Hollingsworth, 80, of Ponca City, passed away Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013 at Ponca City Medical Center. Vonda was born on March 7, 1933 in Ponca City to George E. and Beaulah Dougherty Quimby.

Vonda grew up in Ponca City and was a graduate of Ponca City High School in 1951. She and Lee Hollingsworth were married on October 23, 1953 and they had 3 children Leetta, Russell and George Ray. She was a homemaker and her hobbies included fishing, camping and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Infant sonGeorge Ray, 1 SisterShirley Jones, 2 Brothers Leonard and Vern Quimby. Her husband passed away on July 4, 2011.

Vonda is survived by daughter and her husbandLeetta and Terry Vanlandingham of OKC, son and his wifeRussell and Amy Hollingsworth of Ponca City. 4 Grandchildren Jeremy and his wife Natalie Hollingsworth, Mendy and her husband Ray Johnson, Brian Vanlandingham and Eric Vanlandingham. 10 Great grandchildren Daylynn Nixon, Shaylee Hollingsworth, Garrett Hollingsworth, Wyatt Hollingsworth, Emma Hollingsworth, Sabrina Johnson, Alana Johnson, Aaron Johnson, Makiya Johnson and Tarrant Johnson.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Thursday at Grace Memorial Chapel.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, Oct. 25, 2013 at Grace Memorial Chapel with Father Richard Beckman, of St. Marys Catholic Church, officiating.

Casket bearers will be Brian Vanlandingham, Eric Vanlandingham, Jeremy Hollingsworth, Ray Johnson, Aaron Johnson and Tarrant Johnson. Honorary Casket Bearers will be Don Jones, Buddy Klumpp and John Odom.

Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends are invited to the family homestead, 8787 E. Prospect after the services.

The family would like to extend special thanks to all the wonderful people at Via Christi who cared for our loving mother over the last couple of years.
