Tracey Sue Hill, 47, of Ponca City, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 16, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa after a long and courageous battle with cancer which began in January of 2008. Tracey was born on August 27, 1966 in Media, PA to Joel and Lue Brown Davis.
Tracey had lived in Charles City, Iowa, Broken Arrow, OK and moved to Ponca City while in Jr. High School, graduating from Ponca City High School in 1985.
On May 23, 1986, Tracey married the love of her life, David Wayne Hill. Tracey graduated from Northern Oklahoma College in 1987 with an Associates Degree of Applied Science in Accounting. Tracey and David were blessed with the births of their daughterAlison and sonKyle.
Tracey had worked at Kinneys Shoe Store, KMart, Pinkerton Security, Security Bank Trust, Marlands Grand Home and had spent 12 years with the Ponca City Schools, retiring due to health in 2011, as a ParaProfessional working one on one with learning disabled children.
Tracey was preceded in death by an infant child, her motherLue Davis, brotherinlaw Wes Hill, fatherinlaw Charles Hill and her grandparents.
Tracey is survived by her husbandDavid, daughter Ali, who is attending school at NWOSU in Alva, son Kyle, who is attending school at OSU in Stillwater, fatherJoel Davis of Broken Arrow, sister Charlotte Ray and husband Ricky of Tulsa, sisterStephanie Orban and husband Jack of Broken Arrow, auntSue Penwright of Ponca City, motherinlaw Peggy Hill of Ponca City, sisterinlaw Karen Backus and husband Rick of Ponca City, sisterinlaw Jackie Hill of Ponca City, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 20, 2013 at Northeast Baptist Church with Dr. Larry Nigh officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be Jack Orban, Scott Orban, Josh Wann, Clint Stafford, John Stafford and Ricky Ray.
Memorial contributions may be made in the way of Gas Cards to be taken to Optim Oncology to assist those who have to travel in the course of their cancer treatment or to the North Central Oklahoma Chapter of The Guardians of the Ribbon, P.O. Box 1384, Ponca City, OK 74602.
