Taton Wa-Ni-They Grass was born surrounded by love on December 17th 2019, and went to the arms of Jesus on the same day.
Taton is the son of Gloria Danielle Black of Ponca City.
He is survived by 2 siblings, Tatum and Titan Davis, 1 aunt Galydia Black of El Paso TX, and 1 uncle Gered Black of El Paso TX
His grandparents are Chalsie and Boydd Romero of El Paso TX, and Mark Black of Enid OK. His great-grandparents are Thomasine Blueback of Ponca City, Caroline and Wick Carter of Ponca City, and Dennis “Punkin” Black of Red Rock. He has one great-great grandma, Jolene Hutchinson of Red Rock.
Taton has lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins who love and cherish him as well.
Pall Barriers are Delane Black, Gered Black, Martin Blueback IV, Isaac Blueback, Malachi Lee, and Kingston Youngbear. Honorary Pall Barriers are Daiton Black and Anthony Tillman Jr.
Dinner will be held at 5:30 with services to follow at 7 on December 19th, at Ponca Indian Baptist Church. His funeral will be December 20th at 10 am with burial following immediately at the Ponca Tribal Cemetery.
