Steven Alan Hawkins of Ponca City, OK, finally ran away and joined the circus on March 7th, 2021. Steve was 64 years young when he left his life behind to pursue his ambition of becoming a circus clown. Steve was born to Chole Ann Wilson and Doyle Hawkins of Oklahoma City, OK, both of whom joined the circus years ago. Steve is survived by his wife, Rebecca "Becky" Keeler Hawkins, his children, Benjamin, Andrew, Charity, and Marilla Hawkins, who still have too much sense left to join the circus. He is also survived by his three siblings Mike Hawkins, Jodie Griffith Hawkins and, Grady Hawkins, none of which have plans to join the circus any time soon. Steve's obsession with the circus (and teddy bears) began at an early age. While not able to join the actual circus before this point, he likened his career in cafeteria management and call center management to being a circus ringmaster. A final memorial performance will be held at Grace Memorial Chapel on Friday, March 19th at 2:00 PM. In honor of Steve dressing, in circus attire is allowable.
