Shirley Anderson

Shirley Joe Hill Anderson, resident of Ponca City and former resident of Tonkawa, passed Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at her home. She was 70 years of age.

Shirley was born August 23, 1940 in Seminole, Oklahoma, the 5th of 13 children born to Clarence and Cora Henderson Smith. She attended the Deer Creek School at Little, Oklahoma near Seminole.

Shirleys enjoyments included her family, fishing, crafts, flower gardening, cooking and her pet Yorkies, Emmy and Cupcake.

She is survived by her husband, James, of the home one daughter, Sonqua Hill of Seguin, Texas two sons, Jim Anderson and wife, Ruby, of Ponca City and Ron Anderson and wife, Alisha, of Ada, Oklahoma 3 sisters, Martha, Bobbie and Verda Ray 4 grandchildren, Abby, Rez, Laney and Kaleb daughterinlaw, LeaAnne Lecroix. She was preceded in death by her parents her first husband, Afton Hill one son, Tony Hill and other siblings.

A casual dress memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Grace Memorial Chapel with Hospice Chaplain Mike Sweetman presiding.
