Shelly Wilhelm, 70, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, was called
to her eternal resting place on September 4, 2023. She entered this world on March 10, 1953, in
Pawhuska, OK. Born to Herbert L. Roe and Sharon I. Martin Roe.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2023, at the Webb City Church of God
with Pastor Phil Kizer. Burial will follow in the Foraker Cemetery under the care of Grace Memorial
Chapel of Ponca City. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Grace Memorial Chapel
from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Shelly attended her entire school life in Shidler, OK, graduating from there in 1971. She would later
become the high school secretary for many years a job she loved and from which she retired.
Shelly met the love of her life James Wilhelm and they were married 51 years, being married on March
10, 1972, in Shidler. After serving 3 years in the military they made their forever home in Shidler.
When her children were younger Shelly was very active in the SASA and Shidler Booster Club. She also
was active in the VFW and participated with her mom in a bowling league.
Shelly loved to spend time with family, fishing, sewing, playing Bingo, and going to garage sales. But, the
thing she lived for and cherished the most in the world was spending time with her kids, and watching
her grandkids play sports.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband James Wilhelm of the home, one son, Jim
Wilhelm, and wife Michelle of Stillwater, OK, one daughter: Sheila Wilhelm of Ripley, OK, grandchildren;
Shontana, Sierra, and Jaelynn Wilhelm, all of Stillwater, OK, Deklyn Wilhelm of Ripley, OK and one
great-grandson; Baerett Wilhelm of Stillwater, OK. Also surviving are one sister; Carol Roe of
Shidler, OK, 3 brothers: Vern Roe and wife Cindy of Lindsey, OK, Mundy Roe and wife Eileen of Edmond,
OK and Todd Roe of Shidler, OK as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Shelly is preceded in death by her parents and one grandson Noah Wilhelm.
