Samantha Jewel Willis, resident of Newkirk, passed away Friday, July 23, 2010 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was 59.
Samantha was born March 1, 1951 at Camp Chaffee, Arkansas, the daughter of Alvin Lee Smart and Alice Bernice Parker Smart. She was a graduate of Stewart County High School in Lumpkin, Georgia. She was married to A.J. Allen Willis on December 1, 1995. Samantha was employed as a truck driver with the Tennessee Steel Haulers Company out of Nashville, Tennessee. She was a member of the Word of Life Christian Center in Ponca City. Her enjoyments were singing, the outdoors, gardening, and anything having to do with sharing the Word of God. She especially enjoyed her time spent with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her two children, Miranda Randol and husband, Luke, of Newkirk and Jeremiah McLain of Phoenix, Arizona two sisters, Cindy Comer and husband, David, Ponca City and Janna Garcia and husband, Tony, of Arkansas City, Kansas four grandchildren, Jewelliann, Angel, Cash and Tobias. She was preceded in death by her parents husband paternal grandparents, Thomas and Bertie Smart and maternal grandparents, James and Ora Parker.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at the Word of Life Christian Center with Pastor Bob Innis presiding. Interment will follow at 4 p.m. at the Verden, Oklahoma Cemetery with Roger Willis presiding. Arrangements are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
Casket bearers will be Lucas Randol, Dustin Garcia, Jerry Ingram, Doug Stuemky, Travis Garcia, Tony Garcia, David Comer and Nick Randol.
