Russell D. Clark, resident of Ponca City passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at his home. He was 45. Russell was born on September 11, 1963 at Great Bend, Kansas, the son on Douglas Layton Clark and Valta Rhea Farmer Clark. He received his education in the Great Bend Schools. Russell also lived in Liberal, Kansas prior to moving to Ponca City in 1984. Russell has participated in the Ponca City Special Olympics in past years and his special enjoyments include being with his family, camping and watching action movies. He was a member of Ponca City Foursquare Church. He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Donelda Lindsey of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Jana Wray of Great Bend, Kansas, Jodee Demel of Claflin, Kansas, Dusty Clark of Ellinwood, Kansas, Richard Clark of Pratt Kansas; as well as several nieces and nephews. His grandparents and parents have preceded him in death. Casket bearers for the service will be Max Huff, Robert Huff, Jonathan Ploutz, R.C. Hoch, Cody Shaw, Michael Clark, Brandon Cooper, Brian Halseth and Shane Creasey. Honorary bearers will be Ben Grubb, Rick Reeves and Alvin Tull. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Ponca City Foursquare Church with Pastor Blaine Herron officiating. Burial will follow at Hoisington Cemetery at 4:30p.m. in Hoisington, Kansas.
