Rose was born on July 11, 1955 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Arthur Joe and Lula Mae (Parker) Miller. The couple were blessed with a large family and the house was always filled with laughter. She was born and raised in Ponca City and graduated from Ponca City High School in the early 1970's. She then attended college at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa.

She was a brilliant cook. Her children remember three recipes as being the "Best in the World", her lasagna, her chicken and rice and her ice box pies. Rose loved to watch scary movies.

A Silent Tear
Just close your eyes and you will see all the memories that you have of me. Just sit and relax and you will find, I'm still there inside your mind. Don't cry for me now I'm gone, for I'm in the land of song. There is no pain, there is no fear, so dry away that silent tear. Don't think of me in the dark and cold for here, I'm no longer old. I'm in that place that's filled with love known to you all as "up above".
