Parrish Noear

Parrish Lee Noear, resident of Ponca City, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2009 at the Oklahoma University Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He was 42. Parrish was born January 4, 1967 at Arkansas City, Kansas, the son of Robert Lee and Marie Asher Noear. Parrish served in the United States Navy from May 27, 1981 to June 9, 1989. Parrish had worked at various nursing homes in the area, also the Dollar General store and most recently at the Shawn Manor Nursing Home. His enjoyments included visiting with friends. He is survived by his uncle Max Noear, Kansas City, Missouri; cousins, Richard Noear of Wyoming, Roland Cochise Noear, Roland Jack Noear and Franklin Fireshaker Noear. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, January 11, 2009 at the Ponca Indian Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Louis V. Headman presiding. Interment will be in the Ponca Indian Tribal Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel. Casket bearers will be Roland Jack Noear, Franklin Fireshaker Noear, Marcus McKnight, Raymond Cerre, Josh Allen and Elwood Chub Lieb.
