Ollie Eugene Pendergraft, Jr., resident of Ponca City, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio. He was 53. Ollie was born the son of Ollie Pendergraft, Sr. and Velma Kay Johnson Pendergraft on July 8, 1955 in Fort Ruker, Alabama. He grew up mostly in Enid, Oklahoma but traveled quite a bit while his father was in the military. Ollie graduated from high school in Ft. Hood, Texas in 1973. Shortly after finishing school, he enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1975. He later worked for Ref-Chem for several years where he had many dear friends. Ollie married Linda Lou Seward on May 14, 1991 in Boley, Oklahoma. He loved spending time with family, riding 4 wheelers, hunting, fishing and piddling in his garage. He also loved country music. Ollie was a very hard worker and would do anything for anyone. His presence will be greatly missed. He is survived by his mother, Kay Beavers of Enid, Oklahoma; wife, Linda Pendergraft and daughter, Courtney Pendergraft of the home; other children, Michael Sims and wife, Mandi of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Kerri Miner and husband, Keith of Blackwell, Oklahoma, Ashley Polk and husband, Jason of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Alisha Pendergraft and husband, Vinton of Hennessey, Oklahoma, Keisha Palmer of Hennessey, Oklahoma, Billy Pendergraft of Enid, Oklahoma and Ollie Pendergraft III and wife, Rebecca of Sugar Grove, Arkansas; brothers, Mark Pendergraft and Frank Pendergraft both of Enid, Oklahoma; sister, Jennie Kay Kious of West Virginia; 21 grandchildren, Kylee, Jon Riley, Kaila, Cole, Saccora, Emylea, Hunter, Jordan, Madison, Landon, Courtlynn, Collier, Pacey, Vinton Jr., Harley, Sommer, Billy Jr., Jonas, Joseph, Lacey and Christopher. He is preceded in death by his father, Ollie Pendergraft, Sr. and infant son, James Leonard Pendergraft. Casket bearers for the service will be Troy Seward, Jason Polk, Keith Stafford, Ben Miner, Robert LittleJohn and Chase Stutler. Honorary casket bearers will be Michael Sims, Billy Pendergraft, Ollie Pendergraft III and co-workers at Ref-Chem. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of Grace Memorial Chapel, 2016 N. 14th Street, Ponca City, Oklahoma 74601. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 20, 2009 at Grace Memorial Chapel with Dr. Rev. Wilford Wisel officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
