Each Summer, or as often as she could, Ollie would go home to Oak Ridge to visit and bring back a car load of food stuff. Ollie enjoyed cooking for her boys and sharing with her sister, Clara, her cousin, Bea, her nephew, Dwain, and her close friends.
Ollie's boys were the joy of her life and later her grandchildren. Mae cared for her youngest son, Ken until his death in 2013. Ollie spent her remaining days under the gentle and loving care of her middle child, Terry. Ollie Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Narcisse Patterson, two sons Willie Banner and Ken Banner, five brothers; George, Charles, Billie, Herbert, and Willie James Patterson; six sisters Bessie, Lucille, Rosie, Urma, Maggie, and Clara with whom she spent many happy years.
