Norita Renee Arkeketa passed away in Ponca City, Oklahoma on April 9, 2021 at the age of 28. She was born on May 2, 1992 to Spencer Sr and Cheryl Warrior Arkeketa in Ponca City, Oklahoma.
In 2010 Norita graduated from the Ponca City High School and from there she worked for the Tonkawa Tribe of Oklahoma at various positions. She married Roberto Quintana and had two sons Isaac and Isiah Quintana.
Norita was well known through out the Pow-Wow world as a jingle and cloth dancer, where she traveled across the states to compete in her own categories. Norita also represented the Tonkawa Tribe of Oklahoma as their ambassador, The Tonkawa Princess.
Norita is survived by husband, Roberto, sons, Isaac and Isiah of White Eagle, brother Spencer Arkeketa Jr of White Eagle, parents Spencer Sr and Cheryl Arkeketa, nieces Serena and Ramona Arkeketa, nephews Spencer III, Sean, Blake, and Austin Arkeketa all of White Eagle.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Lamont and Mildred H C Eagle Warrior and her grandfather Alfred T-Bone Arkeketa along with her sister Rosetta D Arkeketa and nine uncles.
The Traditional Tribe services will conclude on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, with the Noon Feast at the Tonkawa Gym. Her Funeral Service will be held at the gym starting at 2pm. She will be laid to rest in the Ponca Tribal Cemetery following her service. Pastor Jim White and Pastor Loui Headman will be presiding. Pallbearers for Norita are Patrick Arkeketa, Spencer Arkeketa Jr, Spencer Arkeketa III, Elwood Calls Him Jr, James Harjo, and Dwayne Warrior. Honorary bearers are Isiah Quintana, Isaac Quintana, Sean Arkeketa, Blake Arkeketa, Austin Arkeketa, and Bennett Crazybear.
