Nellie Joan Stanley Waddle, died in the loving arms of her husband, Herb Waddle on his 80th birthday, February 3, 2011 in their home in Kaw City. She was 74 years of age.

Joan was born May 9th, 1936 in Catsby, Oklahoma, the eighth child born to Oscar J. Stanley and Jessie L Barrett Stanley. Joan grew up in Woodward, Oklahoma and on May 17, 1951 she married Herbert C. Waddle in Woodward. To this union was born three daughters.

Joan was a beautician and massage therapist. She loved flower arranging for special occasions, Joan and several ladies founded the Kaw City Senior Citizens Center. She also enjoyed sewing, painting and canning. She loved to play games with her grandchildren, family and friends. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Kaw City, Oklahoma.

She is survived by her husband, Herb, of the home three daughters, Diann Decker of Kaw City, Dunnalta Doni Oliver and husband Terry of Turpin, Oklahoma, Desari Charlie Muessemeyer and husband, David, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas grandchildren, Rick Hill and wife, Peggy Hill of Woodward, Chris Oliver and wife, Ramona of Turpin, Oklahoma, Jessie JJ Oliver and wife, DeLayna of Plains, Kansas five great grandchildren, Elyah and Alyssa Muessemeyer, Paula Jo Hill, Jordan Hill, Raeanne Oliver, Dakota Oliver and Brianna Oliver. One brother, James Stanley and wife Deloris of Arizona and three sisters France Whiteman of Lahoma, Oklahoma, Betty Wilson of California, Joyce Lazono of Washington State and a host of relatives and friends.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Gerald, Leonard, and Lawrence Stanley, one sister Freda Stanley Terry and a granddaughter Starla Kay Hill.

A celebration of Joans life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 11th, 2011 at the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Kaw City with Pastor Tom Short presiding. Local arrangements are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel. Another Celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2011 at the Crown Heights Baptist Church, 2803 Maple, Woodward, Oklahoma.

Honorary pall bearers will be her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
