Mylia Bey, 13, beloved sister, daughter, niece, and cousin, was called to her eternal resting place March 1, 2021. She entered this world on April 21, 2007 in Ponca City, OK, born to Hassan Bey Jr. and Jade Bey. She was raised by parents Earnest and Pamela Alexander from the age of 2 years old.
Mylia was very creative and enjoyed life to its fullest. She enjoyed modeling, competing in pageants, drawing, dancing, singing, and music. She loved anything that was pretty and sparkly. She enjoyed playing dress-up and dressing trendy. Her best time ever were traveling with her Aunt Jenni and Uncle Robert to Branson, water parks, camping, zoos, and concerts. Family time and family trips were her favorite. She loved fishing and yard work with Pop E and Uncle Robert. She cherished her brother Hassan and was looking forward to traveling to Tokyo with her sister Ana after graduation. She experienced flying on an airplane traveling to San Francisco and Atlanta to model and walk the runway. She was crowned Miss Ponca City Pink and earned numerous other titles during her time competing in pageants. She experienced her most special Christmas this past year meeting her Grandpa Gerry, Grandma Britt, and Aunt Cheyenne. She recently began building a relationship with her parents Hassan and Jade which was very special to her. Mylia had a special village that helped her along the way, Allison Miller, Dondi Rowe, Tammy Hodges, and Jamie Wohletz all of whom she loved dearly.
She is survived by her parents Hassan and Jade Bey and Earnest and Pamela Alexander, her siblings Brandon Haynes, Earnest Alexander II and wife Danielle, Zarek Burkert, Martinel Bey, Ana-Lia Bey, Hassan Bey III, Gerrell Frederickson, and D'eAndre Frederickson. Special Aunt and Uncle Jennifer and Robert Garigin and cousin Allen Allison, Aunt Jessica Frederickson and husband Cletus, Aunt TT Kris Lawyer, Aunt MeMe and Godmother Racheal Haynes, Aunt Cheyenne McNeal, Grandfather and Grandmother Leo and Catherine Haynes, Grandfather and Grandmother Gerry and Britt Lenertz, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles from a wonderfully blended family. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Renee Frederickson, paternal great grandfather Burtyl Vann, and grandparents Sylvester and Cherry Alexander.
A memorial come and go visitation will be held on March 6, 2021 at Grace Memorial Chapel from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Scripture and prayer will be held at 3:00 PM by Reverend Thomas L. Webb. Family and friends will be gathering at Attucks Community Center following visitation.
