Just one little peek into heaven,
Is all Im asking for today,
I just want to know how shes doing,
And heaven seems so far away.
Is she playing on the clouds with angels
Is she laughing and running today
Does she miss me
I guess only she knows.
Oh why does heaven seem so far away
If you just let me look for a moment,
To catch a glimpse of her sweet smiling face,
I promise I wont try to take her,
I know shes in a better place.
Just one little peek into heaven,
Is all Im asking for today.
I just want to know how shes doing,
And heaven seems so far away.

You were lying in my arms,
As I tried to say goodbye,
It might be for the best, they said,
But I knew that was a lie.
I gazed at your little handprint,
Given to us that day,
You wouldnt feel pain again,
But I wanted you to stay.
You fought for every breath you took,
Never letting go,
Until the day God made you His,
Leaving us all below.
Although you couldnt walk or talk,
Or even count to ten,
Your short life had more impact,
Than a hundred million men.
