Millard W. Winningham, 93, of Ponca City, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Ponca City Medical Center.
Millard was born August 3, 1920 in Corinth, MS. to Millard and Maude Pounds Winningham. After graduating from high school he joined the he joined the Army Air Force and was given an honorable discharge on February 10, 1946. He was married to Martha Lou Nichols.
The majority of his life, he worked as a Jig Builder, traveling all over the United States and Canada.
He was working as a volunteer at the Senior Citizens Center and at the Ponca City Medical Center up until he passed. He was also very proud in being a 32nd degree Mason.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife.
He is survived by his sister Kathleen Thrash of Jacksonville, AR., 4 Daughters Judith Clemons, Beneva Parker, Beverly Ann Mulder and her husband Danny, all of Memphis, TN., Glenda Graham and her husband Tom of Santa Rosa, CA. and 1 SonMichael D. Morris and his wife Frances of Ponca City, OK. Along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Grace Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Tom Howard of Hospice of North Central Oklahoma officiating. Burial will follow in I.O.O.F. Cemetery of Ponca City.
