Marietta Gutierrez

Marietta Ann Hudson Gutierrez, resident of Red Rock, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2008 in Wichita, Kansas. She was 63. Marietta was born on December 27, 1944, the daughter of Andrew Wesley Hudson and Sara Brown Hudson. She was married to Ernesto Gutierrez. Marietta was a member of the Otoe Baptist Church and was involved with the Red Rock Senior Citizens group. She was a member of the Otoe Beaver Clan and one of her enjoyments was playing dominoes. She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Gutierrez Rosebery of Red Rock; one granddaughter, Rita Lynn Gutierrez; three sisters, Jovonne Lieb of Ponca City, Wilma Antione of Red Rock and Mary Stiers of Bay Minette, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Andy James Hudson and Percy John Hudson; one sister, Thelma Hudson Chisum. Prayer services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, August 4th at the Otoe-Missouria Cultural Center near Red Rock. A noon meal will be served on Tuesday, August 5th at the Cultural Center with the funeral service to begin at 2 p.m. officiated by the Otoe Baptist Pastor, Jimmy Kinner. Burial will be in the Otoe-Missouria Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel. Casket bearers will be Wes Hudson, Rick Hudson, George Hudson, John McIntosh, Mike Hudson and Gerald McIntosh.
