Margaret Delorous Bonner Chappell, resident of Newkirk, formerly of Shidler, OK, passed away on October 27, 2008 at the age of 86 years old at the Newkirk Nursing Center. Born February 7, 1922 to Katie Mae Auld Bonner and Clarence F. Bonner in the old town of Dilworth, Oklahoma. She received her education in the Dilworth Schools, where she was the Valedictorian of the Class of 1940. She played in all sports. She married Homer F. Chappell on August 19, 1940 in Blackwell, Oklahoma and they had three children, Sondra S., Larry M., and Donna J., five Grandsons; D. Wayne Scott Jr., Jeffrey L. Scott, Timothy M. Scott, William L. Robinson III and Michael Todd Robinson. Nine Great Grandchildren; Chance Robinson, Beth Robinson, Kadi Kremer, Logan Robinson, Magan Robinson, Macee Robinson, Cooper Robinson, Mackenzie Scott and Foster Scott. She has one sister Arthene Burrows of Carthage, Missouri. Margaret was employed at the Shidler Post Office and then at the Shidler State Bank and Kaw City Bank for 29 years. She had been a member of the First Christian Church in Shidler, OK. since 1953 when she was baptized. She was a leader in the Girl Scouts for about 5 years but she had been in Girl Scouts since Grade School. Margaret enjoyed watching baseball, tennis and the Olympics on television. She also loved to knit, crochet baby afghans and working crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed it when her Great Grandchildren came to visit at the Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Homer F. Chappell, one son Larry M. Chappell, Grandson William Robinson III and Son-in-law Manny Loveall, her parents Katie and Clarence Bonner and one infant brother. Survivors include Sondra S. and husband Doug Scott, Newkirk, Donna J. Loveall, Newkirk, OK. Four Grandsons; Wayne and Jennifer Scott, Stillwater, OK., Jeffrey Scott, Dallas, TX., Tim and Amy Scott, Owasso, OK., Todd Robinson and Kim Hoffman, Newkirk, OK., and Grand- daughter Kerri Robinson, Kaw City, OK., 9 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at the First Christian Church in Shidler, OK at 2:00p.m. on Thursday October 30, 2008 with Pastor Doug Scott presiding. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Ponca City under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made in Margarets honor to the First Christian Church, P. O.
