Maisie Gewndoline Cranford, resident of Ponca City, passed February 15, 2011 at the Ponca City Medical Center. She was 78.
Maisie was born November 30, 1932 at South EndonSea, England, the daughter of William Preston and Ethel LangleyPreston. She graduated from high school in Oxford, England. She had been employed as a hospital worker while in England. She moved to the states and Ponca City in 1969. She was employed in Ponca City with Smith International where she was a hard metal painter. She retired from Smith International in 1995. Her enjoyments included knitting, ceramic work, watching soap operas and watching soccer. Her favorite soccer team was the Manchester United Soccer Team.

She is survived by her husband, Leonard, of the home one daughter, Deborah Cornwell of Wellington, Kansas one sister, Doreen Beal and one brother, Bill Preston, both of Oxford, England three grandchildren, Shannon Criner, Ralston, Oklahoma, Shane James of Illinois, and Shlaina James of Kansas six great grandchildren, Tamika Criner, Dominika Criner, Shaneika Criner, Bailey James, Karter James and Kenna James one great great grandchild, Peyton Mayse. She was preceded in death by her parents one grandson, Seandale James two sisters, Kay Ricky and Betty Tice.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2011 at Grace Memorial Chapel.
