Lucille Ann Harrah, longtime resident of Ponca City, passed Friday morning, February 11, 2011 at the Ponca City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 91 years of age.
Lucille was born November 10, 1919 at Okarche, Oklahoma, the daughter of Henry M. Lodes and Catherine Wiewel Lodes. She was a graduate of the Holy Trinity Catholic School in Okarche. She was married to John Harrah Jr. on October 31, 1942 in Enid, Oklahoma where the couple made their first home. The couple later lived in Newkirk, Oklahoma prior to moving to Ponca City in 1980.
She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Ponca City and was a member of the St. Helenas Guild of St. Marys. She was a past member of the Altar Society of Newkirk and the Primetimes of Ponca City. Her enjoyments throughout her life included her grandchildren, playing pitch, flower gardening, fishing and water aerobics.
Lucille is survived by her three daughters, Susan Bond and husband, Dennis, of Ponca City, Linda Fisher and husband, Lary, of Manvel, Texas, and Judy Romine and husband, Lynn, of Kaw City, Oklahoma two sisters, Alice Hansman and Cleo Murray six grandchildren, Douglas Blimm and wife, Teddy, Sharon Junge and husband, Kevin, Danna Kutach and husband, Mark, Krista Herman and husband, Robie, Katy Harris and husband, Brandt, and Matt Bond and wife, Sandy eleven great grandchildren who affectionately called her GG, Kandyce Lamon, Emily Blimm, John Blimm, Grace Blimm, Lily Junge, Ava Kutach, Lyla Kutach, Caroline Herman, Jackson Herman, Dalton Harris and Isaiah Bond two great great grandchildren, Zach Lamon and Olivia Lamon. She is also survived by a special care giver, Essie Ford.
She was preceded in death by her parents her husband six brothers, Frank , Charles, Robert, Bill, Urban and John seven sisters, Helen , Dorothy, Elaine, Rita, Henryetta, Elizabeth and Ann.
