Louise Selvey

Louise Ann Selvey, Ponca City resident, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2010 at the Ponca City Medical Center. She was 68.
Louise was born the daughter of Arthur Westphalen and Dorothy Westphalen on February 18, 1942 in Napa, California. She grew up in California and later married Marvin James Selvey on June 30, 1962 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The couple then made their home in Ponca City. Louise was employed at Daylight Donuts, Highland Laundry and Maries Cakes and Candy Supply Co. She enjoyed making candy and baking wedding, anniversary and birthday cakes. She even made chocolate Christmas cards and chocolate Easter eggs. Louise liked go fishing and hunting when she could. Louise also enjoyed keeping in touch with her friends from around the world that she met online.
She is survived by her children, Sheri Garcia and her husband, Gerald of Ponca City, Marvin D. Selvey and his wife, Carol of Williston, North Dakota one grandchild, Krystal Ailey and husband, Steven of Ponca City, Oklahoma two stepgrandchildren, Christopher Jarvis and Meaghan Jarvis four great grandchildren, Hunter Ailey, Madison Ailey, Aidan Ailey and Carter Ailey and special friend, Wayne VanHoosen, Trudy Oglesby and Chuck Peyton.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Dorothy stepfather, Marion Glassick husband, Marvin James Selvey and brothers, Arthur Charles Westphalen and Raymond Claire Westphalen.
The memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, May 14, 2010 at Central Baptist Church with Pastor John Waterloo officiating.
