Virgil Leroy Lee Moxley, 64, of Ponca City, Oklahoma and member of the Marland Community, died late Thursday evening March 17, 2011 in his home with his wife and children by his side.

Lee was born November 9, 1946 in Ponca City to Roy and Virginia Hill Moxley. He was raised in Kaw City and graduated from Kaw City High School in 1965. He joined the U. S. Army in 1967 and served his country for two years. Lee had one year of active service in Vietnam and received several commendations and medals. Following his honorable discharge, he completed his education at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa. After working for 25 years for Conoco as a Data Operations Supervisor he pursued his lifes passion as a Union Carpenter. Lee was a proud member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed anything to do with the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, boating, and motorcycles. Lee enjoyed building things and watching his grandkids compete in their various activities.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Judy of the home son Larry Moxley and wife Monica of Marland daughter, Angel Hinton of Edmond one brother, Carl Moxley and wife Christy of Fairfax one sister, Maggie Bowker and husband Bud of Kildare four grandchildren, Shelby Hinton and Nathan Hinton both of Ponca City, Rydal Anderson of Marland, and Shannon Tollison and husband Mike of Stillwater.

Calling hours will be 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2011 at Grace Memorial Chapel in Ponca City.

A graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Larry Grantz officiating. Graveside military honors will be provided by Fort Sill Funeral Honors Team.
