Lelus Spotted Crow Sr., resident of Holdenville, Oklahoma and former Red Rock area community, passed away Wednesday morning, May 9, 2012 in Red Rock. He was 56 years of age. Lelus had asked the Lord into his life on March 20, 2012.

Lelus was born February 25, 1956 in Pawnee, Oklahoma, the son of Ralph Spotted Crow and Alma Pettit and was a member of the Apache Tribe of Oklahoma. His early education was in the Red Rock School. He had served his country in the United States Army in the early 1970s. His enjoyments were camping, cooking, attending powwows and digging wild onions.

He is survived by his mother, Alma Warrior of Red Rock four children, Lelus Spottedcrow Jr., Wewoka, Oklahoma, Ramona Gipson and husband, James, of Sasakwa, Oklahoma, Vernon Lee Spottedcrow and wife, Courtnie, of Oklahoma City, and Brianna SpottedcrowLarney and husband, Brian Larney, of Holdenville, Oklahoma mother of his children, Nona Cloud 3 three sisters, Leda Green, of the home, Carla Sanders of Tonkawa, and Susan Fisher of Arkansas City, Kansas 3 grandchildren, Laila Marie Spottedcrow and Amayah Lei Spottedcrow, both of Mannassas, Virginia, and Zachariah Jones of Oklahoma City numerous other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father two brothers, Thomas Spotted
Crow and Troy Warrior one granddaughter, Natalei SpottedcrowLarney.

Prayer services will be held nightly at 7 p.m. at the OtoeMissouria Cultural Center. A noon meal will be served on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the Cultural Center followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. Rev. Jimmy Kenner of the Otoe Baptist Church will preside over the service. Burial will follow in the OtoeMissouria Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.

Casket bearers will be Thomas Spotted Crow, Tushka Hill, James Noriega, Janssen Warrior, Donovan Harragarra and Christopher Harragarra.
