Lavonda Marie Trueblood, longtime resident of Marland, passed away Wednesday evening, May 27, 2009 at her home. She was 73. Lavonda was born November 28, 1935 Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of LaRoye Wesley Gulley and Nellie Marie Bryan Gulley. The family moved to Galveston, Texas in the late 30s prior to moving to Oklahoma. Lavonda was a 1955 graduate of Tonkawa High School. She was married to Robert Poulter Sr. in 1955 at Marland. She was married to Sequoyah Trueblood in 1974 at Sherman, Texas. Lavonda was employed at one time with St. Joseph Medical Center of Ponca City, Titus Corporation, Vacuum Maid and was a motor route carrier for the Ponca City News. Her enjoyments included singing, reading and studying her bible, fishing, cookouts and working in her yard and garden. She was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Church. She is survived by her five children, Debroah Hooper, Ponca City, Ron Poulter, Marland, Sharon Poulter, Marland, Robert Bobby Poulter Jr., Shidler and Augusta Trueblood, Marland; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; one son, Donald Lee Poulter in July 1996 and one brother, LaRoye Wesley Gulley. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2009 at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Don Stanton of Faith Tabernacle Church presiding. Arrangements are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel. Casket bearers will be Roman Revard, Jon Hays, Sam Hays, Alwood Lieb, Harley Buffalohead and Paul Hughes. Honorary casket bearers will be Jay Gustafson and Dennis Chambers. Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Truebloods name to Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, 1904 North Union, Suite 103, Ponca City, Oklahoma 74601.
