Patricia Karen Black Hill was born to Theodore (Ted) and Lena Shadlow Black on December 30, 1958 in Pawnee, Oklahoma. Karen grew up in Red Rock, Oklahoma. After, graduating high school she continued her education at Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kansas. While attending Haskell she met her husband Belvin Jess Hill and married on December 17, 1987. Karen and Belvin served the Lord in many places and capacities, until his death on July 25, 2006. Karen continued to serve the Lord wherever life took her. She had many friends and family that she loved and always extended her hand to help in a times of need. Karen was a current resident of Ponca City, Oklahoma where she attended Central Baptist Church. Karen’s favorite scriptures are Philippians 4:4,7 “Rejoice to the Lord always and again I say Rejoice.” “The peace of God,surpasses all understanding will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” Karen spent her final hour in the comfort of her home with grandson (T) Tehillah J. Wind and uttered the words “Everything is going to be okay.” Karen went home to be with the Lord. While she will be missed and her stories and life’s wisdom will no longer be told, we will take comfort in knowing she will forever be happy and healthy in God’s heavenly kingdom. Reunited with all her family and friends that have already gone to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
