John Wayne Warrior, Sr., also known as “Fish” was born on October 25, 1963, in Pawnee, Oklahoma, to Adolphus and Lucille Warrior. Wayne enjoyed fishing, playing dominoes, Yahtzee and cards. He loved floating, family gatherings, and of course, going broke at the casino.
Wayne will proceed in death with his parents, granddaughter, Cara, sister Vi, brother Bruce, daughter Rachel, grandson DeWayne.
To cherish on his memories are Rez Sweetheart, Debra grant, sisters Sandra and husband Ken Lay, Georgianna Warrior and Pam Littlevoice. Brothers Allen warrior and Eddie Warrior. His children: Lonnie Roy, Carrie and husband Alan Jimboy, John Warrior Jr., Viola and husband Les McGee and Sophia Warrior, his grandkids Waylon and wife Promise Jimboy, Aaron and Keaton James, Danika and John Warrior III, Isaac McGee, Augustine and Geno Howlingbuffalo, Misty, Tara, Raylynn, Roland and Sunshine Warrior, as well as numerous others.
Great grandkids Savannah James, Athena and Koah Jimboy, Waylon McGee, Logan , Luna, Cara and baby Ivy Warrior, numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.
A service for John will be held at 2 p.m., at the Ponca Tribe Cultural Center with Pastor Jimmy White and Rev. Dr. Lewis Headman presiding. Condolences may be shared online at www.gracememorialchapel.net.
