Jeffrey Allan Marks, formerly of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2010 in Denver, Colorado. He was 59 years of age.

Jeffrey was born November 26, 1950 in Ponca City, the son of Julius L. Marks Sr. and Virginia Maxine Long Marks. He graduated from Ponca City High School in 1969 and then attended Oklahoma State University where he graduated in 1973 with a degree in Business Management. Jeff went to work at Paul A. Long Sons where he was part owner with his mother Virginia and brother Julius Jr.

Jeff moved to Denver, Colorado in 1987 where he worked for ACME Brick in Castle Rock where he was currently the Assistant Plant Manager.

He had been a member of the Ponca City Jaycees. He also enjoyed the performing arts and participated in the annual Cherry Creek Art Festival and never missed attending the annual Taste of Colorado Festival. Jeff was an avid sports fan with his favorite teams being the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Rockies, Denver Avalanche and Denver Broncos. He also loved college sports and followed the Big 12, especially Oklahoma State, Oklahoma and Colorado. His other enjoyments included snow skiing and hiking in and around the Colorado Rockies. He also enjoyed the times he got together with former Ponca City classmates at Snow Mass, Colorado.

Jeff is survived by his sister, Patricia Boren of Midwest City, Oklahoma his sisterinlaw, Susan Marks of Little Elm, Texas several nieces and nephews, Dama Sayh and husband, Gregg, of Frisco, Texas, Jill Towner and husband, Jud, of State College, Pennsylvania, Kay Washa of Ponca City, Jay Marks and wife, Stacy, Flower Mound, Texas, Jennifer Hawkins and husband, Rodrick, Midwest City, Oklahoma and Michael Boren and wife, Tracy, Piedmont, Oklahoma 12 great nieces and nephews and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Julius Sr., his mother, Virginia, and his brother, Julius Jr.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Grace Memorial Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 10060 Buffalo Speedway, Houston, Texas 77054.
