Jackie Jack Rand Jorgenson, resident of Ponca City, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2009 at the Ponca City Nursing and Rehab Center. He was 54 years old. Jack was born to Burnell D. Jorgenson and Ethel G. Maphet Jorgenson on June 28, 1955 in Edmond, Oklahoma. He attended and graduated from Ponca City High School. After high school Jack enlisted in the United States Navy until his honorable discharge in 1975. Jack was a free spirit who loved riding his motorcycle and being out in the wide open. He enjoyed watching old black and white movies. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Ponca City. He is survived by his son, Jason and his wife of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brothers, Paul D. Jorgenson of Kennewick, Washington and Bobby D. Jorgenson and wife, Claudia of Ponca City, Oklahoma; sisters, Linda Erwin and husband, Duane of Del City, Oklahoma, Sherron Rogers and husband, Bob of Ponca City, Oklahoma and Susan White and husband, Orville of Middletown, Delaware; two granddaughters of Oklahoma City; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; as well as his very special friend, Kathy Stevens. He is preceded in death by his parents, Burnell and Ethel Jorgenson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, 1904 N. Union, Ste. 103, Ponca City, Oklahoma 74601. The family will be at 1912 John St., Ponca City, Oklahoma 74601. The memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 23, 2009 at The First Christian Church Chapel with Jacks niece, Reverend Niki Jorgenson officiating.
