Ivan Avery

Ivan Edwin Avery, resident of Webb City, passed April 23, 2011 in Webb City. He was 68 years of age.

Ivan was born November 17, 1942 in Winfield, Kansas, the son of Benjamin Avery and Louise Kellogg Avery. He attended the Winfield Schools. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Ivan was a longtime truck driver and cowboy. He had lived in the Webb City community the past 10 years.

His enjoyments included horses, chicken, gardening and fishing.

He is survived by his 9 children, Naoma Kilgore, Benjamin Avery, Kevin Avery, Linda Cone, David Avery, Kay Avery, Matthew, Diane Avery and Chester 2 stepchildren, Bobby Jack and Anita 22 grandchildren 18 great grandchildren 2 cousins, Donny Andes and Vickie. He was preceded in death by his parents and wives.

A memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the Webb City Church of God Church.
