Isaac Ike Samuel Arnold, Ponca City resident, passed away on November 5, 2010 at the Ponca City Medical Center. He was 65.
Ike was born November 15, 1944 in Anthony, Kansas to Isaac Samuel Arnold and Myrtle Goldie Clover Arnold. He grew up West of Wakita, Oklahoma. He attended Wakita High School and was a 1963 graduate. Isaac later moved to Tonkawa where he started working at Williams Rock Bit in 1969. Ike married Linda Neely on July 30, 1981 in Ponca City where they made their home. He was later the plant manager at Smith International for many years until his retirement 1998.
Ike had a passion for watching his children and grandchildren play sports, hunt and fish. He also enjoyed spending time with his family at the farm, working crossword puzzles, playing cards and Wahoo.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Arnold of the home children, Greg Arnold and wife, Sissi, Jerry Arnold and wife, Rhonda, Sandy Hasenfratz and husband, Troy, Kim Mayhall, Mike Arnold and wife, Lacy, Kyle Arnold and wife, Megan, Brent Arnold and Drew Arnold all of Ponca City, Oklahoma and Thad Burns of Scott Air Force Base, Illinois grandchildren, RayRay, Roxy, Faith and Max Arnold, Matthew and Kelci Hasenfratz, Magon, Conner, Chance, Kimbree and Kamdyn Mayhall, Haley and Shelby Lockwood, Jeremy and Marek Burns and Alli Arnold sisters, Evelyn Hobbs of Lamont, Joan Sawyer and husband, Wayne of Valley Center, Kansas, Jean Somers and husband, Frank of Waynesville, Missouri and Leola Sis Rash and husband, Leon of Lamont, Oklahoma.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother one brother, Louis Leroy Arnold two sisters, Viola Louise and Ruth Lucille Arnold brotherinlaw, Al Hobbs niece, Judy Faulkner and nephew, Steve Sawyer.
Casket bearers for the service will be Greg Arnold, Jerry Arnold, Mike Arnold, Thad Burns, Kyle Arnold, Brent Arnold, John Drew Arnold and soninlaw, Troy Hasenfratz.
The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Faith Tabernacle of Praise with Pastor Don Stanton officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
