Helen Adeline Taylor, former resident of Ponca City, passed away May 4, 2012 in Oklahoma City. She was 91 years of age.
Helen was born March 16, 1921 in Cushing, Oklahoma, the daughter of Ottie F. Taylor and Clara Elizabeth Acker Taylor. She moved with her parents to Ponca City in 1930. She was a 1940 graduate of Ponca City High School. She was employed as a telephone operator in Ponca City from 1942 until her retirement in 1966. She was a former member of the Asbury United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Busy Bells, 12 Bells, American Legion Auxiliary and Cherokee Pioneer Life Members Club.
She is survived by her cousins Jane S. Anderson and Martha Dees. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Gerald and Dick Taylor.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, May 11, 2012 at the Grandview Cemetery in Kaw City. Arrangements are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
