Aunt Hazel has been such a part of my life her passing is a great sorrow. From the time of my birth through my teenage years when she and Harlan tied me to a tree to brush my teeth because I got sassy to the care and concern she expressed after I lost Pat, Hazel has been part of who I have become. One of the most formative honest comments she made occurred when I was old enough to notice girls and how they looked. We were in the car and I made a disrespectful remark about a girls looks who was walking by the side of the road. Hazel looked at me and said She may not be Elizabeth Taylor but youre no Richard Burton. You couldnt get much past a person like this with so much honesty.
Hazel was certainly a strength to me as I grieved for Pat and I knew the words she spoke came from the heart as she also had lost the love of her life.
Rest in painless peace and know I am better for you being in my life.

I was so sorry to hear about Hazel. She was a great lady and know she will be missed. Her, Joanna and I were all on the same bowling team and together had lots of great times. So many memories which will help all.
