Geraldine Ficzeri

Geraldine Marie Mayes Ficzeri was born on September 27, 1936 in Webb City, OK to Jack Obin and Alice Trostle Mayes. She passed away February 8, 2013 in Wichita, KS. The Family moved to Ponca City when their mother got work with CONOCO when WW II broke out. After the war, the family worked their way to California as migrant farm labor.
Their mother met and married a staff sergeant in the Army Air Corps. They traveled to several bases after returning from Okinawa, Gerry elected to remain in San Diego. She met Albert Steven Ficzeri and they were married in 1960. They were blessed with 2 sons Steven C. and Gregory Scott. Gerry was a very active and vibrant person. The things that were important to her were her Lord, Family and Friends. She enjoyed line dancing, singing for her own pleasure and playing the guitar. She lived in San Diego until August of 2009, when she moved to Tonkawa, OK.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one sonGregory Scott Ficzeri, her parents, two sisters, three brothers, three nieces, three nephews and several close friends.
She is survived by sonSteven and his wife, one granddaughter all of San Diego, one sister, two brothers, three sisterinlaws, one brotherinlaw, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of her Life will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Faith Tabernacle, 501 S. 5th Street, Ponca City, Oklahoma with Father Kevin Ratterman and Rev. Don Stanton officiating.
