Gerald Lee Brown, 35 year resident of Webb City, Oklahoma, passed February 17, 2015 at his home. He was 62 years of age.
Jerry was born December 26, 1952 in Claremore, Oklahoma, the son of Cletus Jefferson "C.J." Brown and Mary Helen (Webster) Brown. He graduated from Ponca City High School in 1971. Jerry served his country in the United States Army, (Patton's Own Division), from 1974-77 as a crew chief on helicopters stationed at Ft. Hood, Texas. He was married to Shirley Elizabeth Simmons on December 1, 1972. Jerry worked in the oilfield supply business for 35 years, upon his death he was store manager for Arrow Pump and Supply in Pawhuska, Oklahoma.
He is survived by his wife Shirley, of the home; son Chad L. Brown and wife Tamara, granddaughters Madilene Paige and Mackenzie Evan, all of Skiatook, Oklahoma; son Chris D. Brown and granddaughter Emma Gail of Waikoloa, Hawaii; sister Sue Brown Ginger and husband Tex, of Ponca City. He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.
Jerry enjoyed pond fishing, camping, watching St. Louis Cardinal Baseball, watching OU men and women sports, family gatherings, and he especially enjoyed his granddaughters.
It's hard to forget someone who gave you so much to remember, "Rest in Peace My Love".
