Georgia Golay

Georgia Mae Golay, former Ponca City resident, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Nov. 18, 2009 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville, Arkansas. She was 77 years of age. Georgia was born July 9, 1932 at Woodward, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late John Elsie Hoag Stiemtz. She attended the Vici, Oklahoma schools. Georgia was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, as well as a member of the Church of Christ. Her enjoyments included gardening and traveling. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Orla Lee Golay of the home; a son Larry Golay of Houston, Texas; a daughter and spouse Rose Marie Robert Bailey of Russellville, Arkansas; grandchildren Chris Bailey, Kim Golay, Kathaleen Bailey, Mary Pineda, and Michael Bailey and 5 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Paul Stiemtz. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday Nov. 23, at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
