George Pete David Duncan, Ponca City resident, died on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at the Claremore Regional Hospital in Claremore, Oklahoma. He was 57.
Pete was born November 12, 1952 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Darlene and Donald Duncan. He grew up in Ponca City and was a 1971 Ponca City High School graduate. Pete worked at Nelson Waterproofing from January 1, 1976 until the day of his passing. He was a very hard worker as well as a skilled and talented craftsman. He loved sports and he loved to skate. He wrestled in school which carried on to wrestling with his grandson Kaden and cousin Stormy. He loved old sports cars and had a very broad knowledge of makes and models. He also played the organ and violin. He loved dancing, singing, playing oldies and playing jokes. He also enjoyed arguing about anything, especially work. He loved his family, which was his world. He liked people and people liked him, he never met a stranger.
He is survived by his son, Cameron Duncan, Amarillo, Texas daughter, Jessica Duncan, Ponca City, Oklahoma halfsisters, Deanna Duncan, Dawndy Duncan, Toni Duncan, all of Ponca City grandson, Kaden Spotted Bear aunts, Peggy Epperson and husband, Richard of Ponca City, Oklahoma, and Sherry Burdick and husband, Richard of Mulvane, Kansas one uncle John Nelson of Mannford, Oklahoma and numerous other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother Darlene Duncan brother, Donny Duncan Aunts Carla Fike and Rita Caudill Grandparents Hank and Ann Nelson Father Don Donald and half brother Jeff Duncan.
Although he has passed from the earth, our good memories of him will never pass and we will surely miss him always.
The memorial service will be held at Glad Tidings Assembly of God, Ponca City, Oklahoma on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 10:30 a.m.
