Gary Morgan

Gary Eugene Morgan, resident of Ponca City, passed Monday, March 31, 2014 in Wichita, Kansas. He was 65 years of age.

Gary was born May 1, 1948 in Woodward, Oklahoma, the son of Floyd and Greta Goddard Morgan. He was a 1966 graduate of Woodward High School and then attended the University of Central Oklahoma. He married Brenda Sue Henry on June 30, 1980 in Blackwell, Oklahoma. Gary was employed as a Conoco refinery operations employee, retiring in 2003.

He was a member of the Hartford Avenue Church of Christ. His enjoyments were working on cars, Sooner football and his Dachshund dogs.

He is survived by his mother, Greta Morgan of Hillsboro, Kansas his wife Brenda, of the home three children, Aaron Morgan, Michael Morgan and Amanda Morgan, all of Ponca City two brothers, Floyd DeWayne Morgan and wife Erlene, of Valley Center, Kansas and Dennis Morgan and wife Kathleen, of Hutto, Texas other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Donald Morgan.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2014 at the Hartford Avenue Church of Christ with Don Huddleston presiding. Interment will be in the Newkirk Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.

Casket bearers are Jimmy Mooring, Jordan Mooring, Matt Mooring, Robbie Harrell, Andrew Martin and Carl Henry.
