Elinor Jean Neese, 84, lifelong resident of Ponca City, Passed away Thursday, October 27, 2011 at her residence. Elinor Neese was born February 9, 1927 in Ponca City to Ernest G. and Freida Hunsaker Hamlin.

Elinor was a graduate of Ponca City High School and a homemaker raising four daughters. She was employed as a telephone operator for Citi Service and Ponca City High cafeteria for many years. She was a member of the IOOF Lodge, serving several different positions including President. She was an avid Bridge player belonged to several Bridge Clubs. She enjoyed baking, being known for her cookies and pies. She loved baking for her children, grandchildren, church and friends. During the holiday season she would bake for weeks, mailing packages wherever her children and friends were. She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and loved her church family dearly. She loved angels and had a large collection.

She is survived by her four daughters, Sherry Diebold and husband Dennis of Perry, OK.
Marion Kelly of Golden, Co, Nancy Heck of Ponca City, OK, and Janet Hunt of Aspen CO. Five grandchildren, Lorie Phillips and husband Chuck of Katy TX, Tracy Kelly and wife Charla of Littleton Co, Travis Kelly of Lakewood Co, Christine Krajewski and husband Dan of Ogallala NE, and Lisa Tomas and husband Michael of Norman OK. Four GreatGrandchildren, Hunter Reeves, Joseph Tomas, Breah Kelly and Connor Krajewski. Also several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Donald Hamlin and Clyde Hamlin, two sisters Dorothea Humphreys and Wilma Davis a soninlaw Ronald Heck and a grandson Todd Myers.

Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday Oct. 31st, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church of Ponca City with Chaplain Mike Sweetman officiating. Casket Bearers will be Dennis Diebold, Tracy Kelly, Travis Kelly, Michael Tomas, Larry Teichmer and Dave Ring.
