Edna Mae Woodall, resident of Ponca City, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2009 at Shawn Manor Nursing Home. She was 88. Edna was born the daughter of E.H. Pete Hunt and Minnie Faye Porter Hunt on February 27, 1921 in Covington, Oklahoma. She attended school in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Edna later married George Ezekiel Woodall Sr. on March 4, 1941 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Edna had many enjoyments which included crafts, traveling, painting and doing crossword puzzles, but she especially treasured the time spent with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Leora Burnsteel and husband, Ronald of Paulden, Arizona, George Woodall, Jr. and wife, Linda, Charles Woodall, Sr. and wife, Doris and Johnny Woodall all of Ponca City, Oklahoma; brother, John Hunt; grandchildren, Nancy, James, Debbie, Kathy, Charles Jr., David and Stephanie; and great grandchildren, Shelby, Christopher, Timmy, Stephen, Krystal, Shawnte, Kristen, Lyric, Gideon, Zachary, Jessica, Sandi, Liam, Petra, Corey, Heather and Andro. She is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 62 years; brothers, Willard Hunt, Harry Hunt, Harold Hunt and Leo Hunt. A formal visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at Grace Memorial Chapel with Elder, Steve Ballinger, Providence Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
