Edna May Brown, resident of the Ponca City area, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at her home. She was 82. Edna was born the daughter of Frank Green Morgan and Vesta Elizabeth Trean Morgan on August 17, 1926 in Arkansas City, Kansas. She grew up in the Ponca City area and married Leonard Fred Brown when she was 19 and to this union, four children were born. She was a cook at the hospital for 30 years, and from 1965 to 1978 she was involved with home nursing. Edna knew Bob Wills and had fond memories about the yard parties they had. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing and she also liked old country music. She was a member of the Salvation Army for many years and involved with the Home League Program. Edna will be greatly missed by those that knew her. She is survived by her children, Freda Klinger, Earl Brown, Joe Brown and wife, Sharla and Jesse Brown and wife, Crystal all from the Ponca City area; grandchildren, Diana Joe Fussman and husband, Dan, Tracy Lynn Moya and husband, Daniel, Chad Jones and wife, Margie, Doug Jones and wife, Christy, Maylee Brown, Catline Wright, Pat Ryan, Amanda, Lisa and Megan; numerous great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Teddy Ray Morgan and Earnest Teen Morgan; and half sisters, Francis Couch, Mary Tutor and Frankie Pursley.
