Duwayne Oscarson

DuWayne L. Oscarson, resident of Ponca City, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at the Ponca City Medical Center. He was 63.

DuWayne was born April 5, 1947 in Salinas, California, the son of Lloyd Oscarson and LaDonna Schaffer Oscarson. He moved with his family to Fargo, North Dakota where he attended school, graduating from Fargo Central High School in 1965. He was married to Margaret Maggie Naaden on April 14, 1973 in Fargo. The family also had lived in Tonkawa prior to moving to Ponca City. DuWayne was a retired truck driver and his enjoyments included racing of any kind.

He is survived by his wife, Maggie, of the home two sons, Christopher Oscarson and wife, LeaAnn of Moorhead, Minnesota and Dion Oscarson and wife, Connie, of West Fargo, North Dakota one daughter, Dawn Oscarson of Ponca City one brother, Denny Oscarson, also of Moorhead 3 grandchildren, Kylie Oscarson, MaKenna Oscarson and Callie Oscarson. DuWayne and Maggie also have a fourth grandchild on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents.
