In Loving Memory
Dorothy Jean Davis Kelsey died Tuesday, November 20th, 2012 at the Fairview Regional Medical Center, Fairview, Oklahoma. She was 87.
She was born September 25th, 1925, at Shidler, Oklahoma, the daughter of John William and Nora Alice Lagenour Davis.
Dorothy attended school in Denoya and Shidler, graduating from Shidler High School in 1944. On December 3rd, 1945, she married Kenneth Donald Kelsey of Drumright, Oklahoma, and they had one son, Kenny. She was a member of the Shidler United Methodist Church. She had also been active in the Grainola United Methodist Church, playing the organ for many years, and served on the Grainola Election Board.
She was preceded in death by her husband, infant son John Richard Kelsey, by her parents, and by elder brothers and sister, William Elijah Davis, Gertrude E. Davis Smith, John Loren Davis, Bernard W. Davis, and Paul Harold Davis.
Survivors include her son Kenneth D. Kelsey, Jr. of Ringwood, Oklahoma niece Peggy Jacques and her husband Jim of Shidler and a host of much loved nieces and nephews.
The graveside funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 28th, 2012 at Grand View Cemetery in Kaw City, Oklahoma.
