On August 18, 1925 an angel, Doris Jean Hall, was born in Webb City, OK and on May 20, 2013 her Heavenly Father wrapped her in his arms and took her back to live her eternal life with Him and her Savior, Jesus Christ.
A native to Ponca City, Oklahoma, she was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Luther Hall, and was the daughter of the late O.C. and Cecyle Trostle. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Lynne Dering Trostle and James Robert Trostle and her youngest daughter, Ms. Carol Ann Hall.
Mrs. Hall was a faithful member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church of Ponca City where she served as Deacon and taught Sunday School and Childrens Church until her health no longer allowed her to serve. She worked for 25 years at the Conoco Oil Company where she retired in 1988. She gained most of her joy from serving her community, tending her many flower gardens, canning jams, jellies, and pickles and loving her many grand children, great grandchildren and greatgreat grandchildren. She enjoyed listening to Southern Gospel music, Jim Reeves, and John Denver and was an avid bowler.
She was a devoted Christian and family woman who gave unselfishly and unconditionally to her friends and family. She set an example for everyone she knew and witnessed Gods love to all she came in contact with so they could also know her Jesus.
Some of her favorite scriptures were John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life and Revelation 3:20, Behold, I stand at the door and knock if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and sup with him and he will sup with me.
Mrs. Hall is survived by her sisters, Martha Rose and Nancy Lou, and her brother and his wife Neal and Janice Trostle and her brother Charles Bruce. She is also survived by her daughter Jean Tedford of Bella Vista, Arkansas, son and daughterinlaw, Melvin Luther II and Pepi Hall of McMinnville, TN and daughter and soninlaw Cecyle and Victor Haley of Norman, OK. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren Thea Rush, Kris Sherry, Elizabeth Derryberry and Michael Derryberry, children of Jeanie Melvin Luther III and Christine Hall and Becky and Jason Baughman, children of Melvin and Pepi and Jennifer and Gabe Sevigny and Jeffrey and Lynda Haley, children of Cecyle and Victor. She is also survived by great grandchildren Kerry Kirby, Paige Rush, Jessica Rush, Adena Sherry, Derek Sherry, Lacey Derryberry, Autumn Derryberry, Melvin Luther Hall IV,Katherine Hall, Kayla Hall, Grant Sevigny, Payton Sevigny, Sawyer Haley, and Garret Haley. She also has two greatgreat grandchildren, Matthew and Mackenzie.
Family will receive visitors from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Grace Memorial Chapel. A celebration service will be held May 23 at 2pm at the Grace Memorial Chapel at 2016 N 14th Street in Ponca City with her son, Melvin Hall II officiating. Burial will follow in the Longwood Cemetery with Pallbearers: grandsons, Melvin Hall III, Jeffrey Haley, Michael Derryberry, great grandsons, Kerry Kirby, Derek Sherry, and nephew, Dean Trostle.

Mrs. Halls family wishes to express their extreme gratitude to the staff of Good Shepherd Hospice and Grace Living Center in Norman Ok for the love and care they gave the yodeling harmonica player.
