Diane Burton

Diane Burton, resident of Ponca City, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the Ponca City Medical Center. She was 58 years of age.

Diane was born December 16, 1953 in Bridgeport, Alabama, the daughter of Clarence T. Burton and Esther Larson Burton. She attended elementary school in Bridgeport.

Diane was an avid and longtime fan of Elvis Presley, having made two separate visits to Graceland. She also had many Elvis collectibles which she cherished. Her other enjoyments included bowling, dancing, watching TV., NASCAR, and her friends at the Opportunity Center. Diane had also won numerous medals and awards throughout her participation in Special Olympics.

She is survived by her three brothers, Robert Macioge and wife Carol, of Ponca City, Clarence J. Burton and Larry Burton, both of Bridgeport, Alabama one sister, Judy Schaller and husband Randy, of Blackwell numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Burton and Esther Burton Bahn and her stepfather, Ernest Bahn.

A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the Bible Baptist Church in Ponca City with Pastor David Bosworth presiding.
