Darlene Couture

Darlene Rae Couture, resident of Blackwell, passed Monday, April 11, 2011 at the Ponca City Medical Center. She was 66 years of age.

Darlene was born December 15, 1944 in Yakima, Washington, the daughter of Joe and Maxine Brandt. She was employed as a Registered Nurse, retiring in 2006. She served her country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged at the rank of Second Lieutenant.

She is survived by her two children, Jeff Couture and wife, Jennifer, of Wasilla, Alaska and Alicia Assink and husband, Owen, of Yakima, Washington 5 grandchildren, David Assink, Jacob Assink, Joshua Assink, Jaden Couture and Justin Couture. She was preceded in death by her parents husband 2 sisters, Mary Margaret Brandt and Sharon DeLaney 1 brother, Eddie Brandt.

Memorial services are planned at a later date in Washington and Alaska.
