Danny Ray Feathers

Was born on July 29, 1960 to Jimmy and Cindy Feathers in Ponca City, OK. He was called home to the Lord on April 17, 2022.

On April 5th, 1986 Danny married the love of his life, Lisa Long. A story-book type of love; a perfect example of a man absolutely adoring a woman. Together they created a loving and secure home for their kids. Danny loved coaching his kids through their younger years as they played softball and baseball. He became a mentor to many other players along the way and this continued when his grandkids started playing sports. He was so proud of them. He loved and defended his family fiercely; he leaves behind strong values, work ethic, and plenty of jokes.

Danny was a hard worker, he started working at a very early age and his dedication continued throughout his entire life. He began his career with Continental Carbon in 1981 and was with them until 2009. From there, he started with Phillips 66 and had been employed as a Refinery Operator until his passing.

Danny loved OU football, camping, and of course - his chickens. He enjoyed raising, showing, and judging chickens. He met many people as he traveled with his hobby and they became lifelong friends. He was well respected in his field and always eager to educate others.

Danny surrounded himself with friends who ultimately became family. His own family, his work family, and his chicken family. His life was full and blessed. He was larger than life and will be missed deeply by all who knew him.

Danny is survived by his wife of 36 years, Lisa Feathers. His father Jimmy Feathers, daughters Shawntia Konell, Danielle Buffalohead and husband Daryl, son Trevor Feathers. 5 grandchildren; Colton Konell, Seth Buffalohead, Taelor Konell, Leslie Buffalohead, Xander Konell and 1 great grandchild, Xaeden Konell. Sister Cathy Glaser and husband Mark and many nieces and nephews.

Danny was proceeded in death by his mother Cindy Feathers, grandparents Orville Dodson, Clara Dodson, Henry and Ruby Feathers.

The family meet and greet at Grace Memorial Chapel on Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 5 p.m.      to 7p.m.

The family would like to invite you to come and help them celebrate Danny's life on Friday, April 22nd at Central Baptist Church in Ponca City, OK at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor John Waterlo officiating.
