Curtis P. Primeaux Sr. longtime Ponca City resident suddenly passed away Monday, September 19, 2016 at the Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Services will follow the traditional noon feast on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at the Ponca Tribal Cultural Center. Burial will follow in the Ponca Tribal Cemetery under the direction of the Grace Memorial Chapel.
Curtis P. Primeaux Sr. was born May 28, 1949 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Joy Primeaux and Edna Littledance Waters. He attended school at White Eagle and Ponca City. He later attended trade school in Mackinac Island, Michigan. Curtis worked for many years at the Social Development Center for the Ponca Tribe as a counselor/director of the substance abuse program. He enjoyed helping his clients as well as spending time with his family and friends.
He was also a very active bingo player at Kaw Casino. He was a member of the Metro Mens Bowling League for many years at Ponca Bowl. He liked to play pool with his clients and sons. He was also a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved his kids and grandchildren and enjoyed dancing and cooking for them.
Survivors include his wife Elaine of the home; children Curtis Patrick (Jr), Robert Littledance (Sr), Herbert Russell (Sr), Elison Ian, Cara Renee, Ernasten Arlene, and Joy Echo; 10 grandchildren ; brother & sisters Mary Primeaux, Louise Roy, DeLoyce Waters Decorah, Frannie Littlewalker, Jeff Littlewalker, Anson Littlewalker, Terri Littlewalker, Ben Waters Jr., Elizabeth Waters, Deanna R. Hood and Virginia Murray, Greg Littlewalker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Haley Primeaux and sister, LeVelle Pewardy
